Obama: God Bless Planned Parenthood

President Obama is the first sitting president to publicly speak on Planned Parenthood:

“When politicians try to turn Planned Parenthood into a punching bag, they’re not just talking about you,” he said. “They’re talking about the millions of women who you serve.”

“The fact is, after decades of progress, there’s still those who want to turn back the clock to policies more suited to the 1950s than the 21st Century,” Obama said. “And they’ve been involved in an orchestrated and historic effort to roll back basic rights when it comes to women’s health.”

“Thank you Planned Parenthood. God bless you. God bless you,” Obama concluded.

I shouldn’t say this is particularly surprising as this is coming from a man that has supported infanticide if the woman so chooses. Pro-lifers have pointed out the implications of abortion for some time now, but it was simply dismissed as a slippery slope. First, I think it should be obvious to anyone that a distinct human being is inside that woman’s womb (it’s not the woman’s body) and it has all the capacities for reasoning and willing in its nature or else it could never develop its capacities into what we see in adults. Second, even if that is not granted, you are senselessly taking away the future hopes and dreams of that life. Lastly, you were once a fetus and that is all you need to know to see that abortion is wrong. If you were not identical to that fetus, then it was not you because you could never exist without first being a fetus. If one was to go back in time and take your life then, it would be just as wrong as killing you now.

Obama Debuts As Satan in The Bible

Yes, Obama has finally revealed himself to be the anti-christ! Okay not really, but someone that resembles Obama is playing Satan in the Bible Series as the image above shows. This has received the attention of the media, some have applauded this representation while most have condemned it. But the executive producers denied this was intentional:

This is utter nonsense,” say exec producers Burnett and Downey in a joint statement. “The actor who played Satan, Mehdi Ouzaani, is a highly acclaimed Moroccan actor. He has previously played parts in several Biblical epics – including Satanic characters long before Barack Obama was elected as our President.”

It’s quite hilarious that such a fuss is being made over this, but it seems clear that none of this was intentional. Frankly though, it is perhaps one of the best coincidences that I have seen. The producers went on to explain that they “have nothing but respect and love our President, who is a fellow Christian“.     Uh, come again? Their definition of Christian must be shallow because I see no reason to think he is a christian (quite the contrary). I have heard Obama use Jesus and other verses to promote his agenda but ironically enough, so did Satan. Maybe there is something to this coincidence after all!

Stronger Obama Looks to have Triumphed?

Early indications such as this poll on CNN seem to indicate that a consensus is emerging: Romney failed to improve on his last performance, while Obama (having, let’s face it, no worse to do) greatly improved his.  It appears the general mood is that Obama successfully defeated his opponent in this second debate, and it will be interesting to see what impact this has on the popularity of both candidates.

I have yet to watch it all so don’t want to form my own conclusion just yet, but it does at least sound like Obama didn’t give Romney quite such an easy ride.

Romney’s Secret Victory Dance

After Romney’s victorious triumph in his debate against Obama, he got a little too excited. Some are already using this leaked photo as proof that Romney is not fit to be a president with childish behavior like this. I’m inclined to agree, it’s not something a mature person should be doing. But I don’t think it’s all bad for Romney, this could give his campaign some much needed energy from the drone-like response that he receives from republicans. Obama, on the other hand, is not amused at all. He recently spoke to Fox News saying, “Let me be perfectly clear. I do not tolerate this behavior, it is not respectful and it is not presidential. If Romney wins this election, I will sue him for every last penny that he owns. This is a personal offense to me and to America. I stand here today letting America know that I will change his sorry life forever”.

Mr President, you need to chill. Don’t be jelly if Romney has more swag than you.

WC News: Romney Wins Debate

According to a recent CNN poll, 67% thought Romney won and 25% thought Obama won the debate. The consensus is staggering. Even hard liberals like Chris Matthews and Andrew Sullivan have strongly condemned Obama for his poor performance.

Why did he do so badly? Well, Al Gore thinks it’s because of the altitude. Yup. Perhaps it’s also because he didn’t eat his Trix cereal for breakfast.

Whatever the reason was, it seems Obama is back in his game as he attacks Mitt Romney for being a liar about the $5 trillion tax cut. A stark contrast from the “nice-guy” approach he took last night.

Joe Biden blatantly admitted that he wanted to raise taxes by $1 trillion! Wow.

Personal Thoughts: I looked forward to this debate, but I didn’t have high expectations. Political debates from both parties tend to be smearing campaigns, not campaigns that reach out to the public through intellectual and moral arguments. However, this time I think both Romney and Obama were less antagonistic toward each other here. This is a good thing because I’d much rather there first be a debate on the principles and later if necessary, a debate on the person’s record and competence for achieving those principles.

It is my judgement that Romney destroyed Obama in this debate, but feel free to judge the video for yourself. I think we should all keep in mind, however, that winning a debate is not necessarily equivalent to being right on the issues. Winning the battle does not always mean that you are winning the war. Personally though, I think Romney defended the principles of conservatism rather well. Not just because he won in style, as some liberals have downplayed this victory as, but also because his principles just make much more sense than Obama’s principles. You can dispute some of the data as some so-called “fact checkers” will do, but I am with Bryan Preston when he says Obama “was Incoherent Because His Ideas Stink”.

At the same time, I do think it’s fair to say that performance had something to do with this. Obama could have been stronger rhetorically, more confident, and more focused. If he had done those things, it would’ve been a less clear victory on the rhetorical front. However, I think it remains true that his ideas are simply indefensible when you analyze it apart from the rhetoric and the twisted facts. The ideas themselves just necessarily entail the kind of problems that we have now. Unfortunately, some of these ideas have also been advanced by republicans. So if anything, both parties are responsible and I hope that both parties can work together to fix this.

What are your thoughts on this debate?

No More Chances

Would you give this man another chance? The level of incompetence, deceit, and arrogance in him is staggering. This man cannot even pass a budget without being absolutely disgraced. How he got into office in the first place still baffles me. Honestly, I think the world would be better off if he worked as a janitor scrubbing toilets instead. At least he’d actually be cleaning up something, because he’s so far failed to clean up our economy or our bureaucratic system. Those who know this and still plan to vote for him are out of their minds. If that’s you, please explain your support of Obama for us.

SOTU: So Obama Tells Us…

President Obama tells us a story,

Imagine what we could accomplish if we followed their example. Think about the America within our reach: A country that leads the world in educating its people. An America that attracts a new generation of high-tech manufacturing and high-paying jobs.

Oh goodie, it’s time to play the liberal imagination game. If we followed Obama’s example, we’d be eating shiny chicken, gaining trillions in debt, and having fancy vacations playing golf. Need a high paying job? Apply for the White House, I heard reality doesn’t work there.

We can do this. I know we can, because we’ve done it before.

Yay! Wait, so why haven’t you done it?

What’s at stake are not Democratic values or Republican values, but American values. We have to reclaim them.

Except there’s a difference: Your values are wrong.

In the last 22 months, businesses have created more than three million jobs. Last year, they created the most jobs since 2005.

Great! Where did those three million jobs come from? China.

As long as I’m President, I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum. But I intend to fight obstruction with action, and I will oppose any effort to return to the very same policies that brought on this economic crisis in the first place.

That’s funny, could’ve sworn your kind of policies are exactly why we’re in this mess in the first place. Here’s to building up that momentum!

On the day I took office, our auto industry was on the verge of collapse. Some even said we should let it die. With a million jobs at stake, I refused to let that happen.

My HERO! Can you buy me a car for my birthday too? :)

Ask yourselves what you can do to bring jobs back to your country, and your country will do everything we can to help you succeed.

Question to self: What do I need to make jobs? Money. That’ll help me succeed for sure. When do I get a check? :D

It’s time to stop rewarding businesses that ship jobs overseas, and start rewarding companies that create jobs right here in America.

It was time to do this four years ago. Did you get lost in a time warp?

It’s time to apply the same rules from top to bottom: No bailouts, no handouts, and no copouts. An America built to last insists on responsibility from everybody.

And here I thought you bailed out the auto-industry. Silly me.

When it comes to the deficit, we’ve already agreed to more than $2 trillion in cuts and savings. But we need to do more, and that means making choices.

Agreed. It means less golfing, less chicken, and more work please. And come on, this “cut” pales in comparison to how much debt we’re still adding.

I’m done with this abject drivel.

Liberal Intolerance and Intolerable Liberals

The Obama administration has decided that it has the power to force religious health care providers to act against their religious beliefs. In August of last year (2011) the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a requirement that most health insurance plans must provide for all FDA-approved contraceptives services, which would presumably include abortifacients.

The problem is that for Catholics contraception is a sin against nature. It is an abominable act on a par with homosexual sodomy. Even worse is the case of abortifacients: since Catholics believe life begins at the moment of conception, if Catholics are forced to give away abortifacients they are in effect being forced to commit murder. Forcing Catholics to pay for these things is nothing less than forcing them to act against their most strongly held beliefs and to commit grave and mortal sins against God.

The Church has voiced its problems with these requirements. Of course, we all know that the Obama administration–being so concerned to promote tolerance and diversity–would have to make an exception. The Obama administration has thought it over and “catholic” Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of the HHS, has this to tell us:

“After evaluating comments, we have decided to add an additional element to the final rule…”

Thank goodness! Great news!

“Nonprofit employers who, based on religious beliefs, do not currently provide contraceptive coverage in their insurance plan, will be provided an additional year, until August 1, 2013, to comply with the new law.”

…or not. In effect, we have been given a year to prepare ourselves to violate our consciences. And this is why Catholics–and anyone committed to religious liberty in general–cannot vote for Obama or his damnable policies.
