Anti-Terrorist Ad Campaign Called Islamophobic

A new anti terrorist ad campaign in San Francisco’s buses is striking back against the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) attempt to remove associations of “violence” from the word jihad and the religion itself:

One ad that reads “Killing Jews is worship that draws us closer to Allah” prompted District Attorney George Gascon to declare that “San Francisco won’t tolerate Islamophobic bigotry.”

Unbelievable. Whenever Christianity is attacked as the cause of wars, no one comes to their defense, but if a religion like Islam is condemned, that is suddenly bigotry? Islam is clearly at its very core a violent religion, recognizing that fact is not bigotry but as they say, a reality.

Malachy’s Prophecy: The Last Pope Is Here

Oh come on, don’t tell me you have not heard of the prophecy! No? Fine, I’ll let you know what’s going down in the sith empire known as the catholic church. What, don’t believe me? Just look at the above image, those hands are clearly signs of skill in the dark side of the force! Alright I’m joking about the sith lord stuff, no offense to any catholics out there, but the prophecy remains a prophecy to be reckoned with. Since the Catholic Church is currently voting another pope into office, I think it’s a good time we had a serious look at what this is all about. You’re probably thinking, “[sigh] This is going to turn out to be like any other prophecy. Last pope? The mayans predicted 2012 would be the last year, we don’t need more FUD-based speculation”. But there is much more going for this prophecy than you think. The end is going to come sooner or later, at least according to the prophecies in the Bible, so don’t be too quick to dismiss other prophets that God could be using to speak to this modern age.

Serving Jesus Full-Time

After some prolonged reflection, I have decided to dedicate this year to full time ministry at WC. Some difficult choices had to be made as I struggled between the possibility of marriage, college, or work but some circumstances just made it difficult for me to do any of those besides the last. Work and college are still possibilities on the table for next year, don’t get me wrong, but I decided to do this because I want to see where God leads if I give Him my all just like the disciples did. Peter, for example, had a fairly profitable career and it wasn’t until Jesus called him to follow that he forsook his career to become a fisher of men (Matt 4:19–20).

Yesterday I had the privilege to start a new Bible Study with Mike as a means of reaching out to his friends. Mike and I gave a message on legalism and our identity in Christ. It turned out pretty good, we bounced off of what we were saying and his friends respectfully engaged us. Next time we’ll use more verses because I taught on one passage and hopefully improve as we go on. Please pray for us, Lord willing we’ll be having the bible study again next week!

Bill O’Reilly Angrily Explodes at Colmes

This is hilarious, but of course not surprising for those who know what Bill is like. Got to hand it to Colmes for being surprisingly cool headed about it, though he did get rightly bothered by the “liar” comment. He’s dead wrong about Obama, however. Any cuts that he does do are just cuts on projected increases in spending, which is in fact not really a cut at all. The amount of spending far outweighs any cuts as the CBO projects that we will see an increase of 6.4 trillion dollars of debt in the next couple of years. Epic fail, Mr President.

Police Chaplain Forced Out For Rejecting SSM

From an article at the UK Telegraph that WK linked to:

Excerpt:

A police chaplain says he was forced out of his post after criticising the Government’s plans for gay marriage on his personal website, MPs have been told.

Rev Brian Ross said he was summoned to a meeting with a senior officer and told that postings on his blog on the subject of marriage did not fit with the force’s equality and diversity policies.

Who said legalizing SSM won’t produce any effects on society again? This is precisely what you’d expect would happen when you treat SSM like racism. If you portray homosexuals as the oppressed and you permit their activity, then you will promote their lifestyle to make amends for the previous ills. Unfortunately this isn’t just some remote firing from a business either, it is a direct result of the government’s intervention. Nor is this some rare occurrence, many others have been fired as a result of their opposition. This is not freedom, this is oppression in the name of progressivism, tolerance, and love.

Those who rail against profits and “greed” seldom stop to think through what they are saying, much less go check the facts. Most of the great American fortunes– Rockefeller, Ford, Carnegie, etc. — came from finding more efficient ways to produce a product or service at a lower cost, so that it could be sold at a lower price and attract more customers. If making a fortune represents greed, then greed is what drives prices down.

Is Beyonce Demon Possessed?

It wasn’t until recently that I had even heard of Beyonce, I’m just not interested in the godless soft porn stars that we have today but something did catch my interest. Upon researching a certain topic that I’ll be covering later on my blog, I uncovered the claim that Beyonce is demon possessed. You’re probably thinking “Oh brother, are they going to say she’s an alien next?” or maybe I’m the only one who thought that at first but it caught my attention because Beyonce herself claims to be possessed by something:

“When I see video of myself on stage or TV I’m like, ‘Who is that girl?’. That’s not me, I wouldn’t dare do that.” (Beyonce, September 2003).

Bible Series Trailer

Finally a TV series on the Bible that doesn’t look like it was run on a 99 cent budget! Hopefully it stays as true to the source as possible but fans of the original book will always say, “psh, the book is better”. From the looks of the trailer though, it does have a sense of epicness to it. Why doesn’t Hollywood make more christian movies? The only one they really made was “The Passion of the Christ” which broke all records. The Bible has some epic stories with drama and battles in it so you’d think they’d try to cater to the christian population more. But no, they seem to have more interest in pushing anything and everything that is unchristian. That’s Hollywood for you.

My First Metal Concert (Impending Doom)

The photo above is taken from the event. If I could sum up that experience in one word it would be “crazy“. It’s not my first concert and the closest I have gotten to a metal concert was at a church when I saw the band Disciple, but none of them compare to what it was like here. Michael invited me to see the band and then Mike was invited to come along with us. We’re all metal fans, though I am not as familiar with the scene as they are. I know I’ll probably get in trouble with some christians for liking this style of music and going to this concert but if it helps any, this is a christian band.
